Last time I photographed this view, viewers couldn't help but notice the church standing out in the fog. On a sunny day, you'd be hard put to locate it amongst all the buildings. Granted, this is a much wider angle of the scene.

Thank you so much for putting my Moon shot onto TT today. It was a much needed boost as I found out that my injury that I thought was almost healing was actually a hip fracture and will take at least another month of avoiding weight bearing. Could be worse, of course, but it was not a happy day other than the TT shot!
I just had to check your fog photo to find the church! What a difference it makes. Sorry about your hip issue and hope that it heals well and does not take too long. Congrats on the top spot on the TT.

Noooo, too bad! Take very good care of yourself, Taffy. Absolutely. Hip fractures are painful and need a thorough behavior to heal. You will heal soon, of course.
Oh no Taffy. Well I am glad you went to have it x-rayed. Even though that in itself is so scary in the days of Covid. What an incredible fall you took. Wow! Your moon shot had to be on the TT. Congratulations. The only silver lining to your cloud is that no one is going on photo jaunts right now so you aren’t missing anything. Take care of yourself! 🤗
Seeing all of that water right there in the background adds a lot to the photo. I'm so sorry to hear about you hip - I hope it has healed by the time all the restrictions are eased. I haven't seen your moon shot ( congratulations on it being on the TT) so will go and have a lok now. :)
I'm so sorry to hear about your hip but better to find out now than after you may have done more to damage it. Well, at least you have time to heal when you're not allowed to go anywhere anyway! Nice cityscape!
What an amazing difference that magical fog made. Oh Taffy, I suspect I’d be sobbing and then eating to drown my misery. So so sorry re your hip and how long you will have to be invalided
@jgpittenger No sobbing, but definitely eating! Made myself some chocolate chip pancakes this morning. I'm getting used to the idea of another few months of inactivity and now starting to figure out what exercise I can do that will be safe so I'm not a total flabby mess at the end of this!
Such an amazingly clear day!! Can make out so many little detials. LA has been a lot clearer too due to less cars on the street because many are at home.
This is a great image and would make for a terrific jigsaw. Congratulations on the TT.
