Last night's sunset where the sky was reflected in a very calm lake. It was so peaceful and welcoming (except for the biting mosquitoes that warned me not to stay to photograph the moon, chomping on my legs and ankles as I photographed this).
Great shot and I have a recipe to get rid of those pesky mosquitoes. I live basically in a 3 acre woods and I can sit out on my deck anytime and garden anytime and not be bothered with them. Mix 3 cans of stale cheap beer (doesn't have to be stale just with no foam, just stir it until it goes away), 3 cups of epsom salt and 1 BIG bottle of blue cheap mouthwash. Mix it all in a large pan until the salt dissolves. Put liquid in a spray bottle or pressure sprayer that you pump up and spray it all around where you don't want to get bitten. It lasts about 80 days. Will not harm plants or flowers But if they don't go away the first time just do it again. It does work.
Beautiful light and colors here. Heard on the news that Chicago's put an isolation ban on in coming folks to stay isolated for 14 days - sounds like someone is trying to get a stop on this up there - it's going to take something like that everywhere.
With the lake providing a soft, out of focus mirror of the sunset, I can see it almost as an abstract. Almost -- because of course it is a sunset, but as pure color bands it's also magnificent.
Oh yes those nasty mosquitoes are still out and take the fun out of taking photos..................good thing you captured this reflection, love the colours of the sunset!
Stunning image Taffy!! Shame about the mozzies - they would be eating me up!! I have to be very careful with bites as I have ended up in A&E three times when the bites have gone poisonous!! I would be trying out those recommended remedies if I was you!!
