Back to Italy to process more photos -- all safely migrated to my main computer (whew!). I learned that Tuscany was once Italy's high poverty rural area, until "discovered" and turned into a land of wine, cheese, and historic hilltop towns. The homes that now dot this image are privately owned, often significantly updated, and quite beautiful. The fields here are generally wheat -- very early spring sprouts.
