The RAW composition -- http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/19827/raw-competition-4 -- asked us to edit the original RAW version of this photo. This edit involved a little work in Topaz adjust, adding a few filters in Color Efex, and tweaking and cleaning up in Aperture. I had today's word, "dark," in mind as I was editing.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: I did NOT take this photo. The RAW challenge is to take a photo the winner from the previous time has selected and then edit it since as a RAW file, nothing has been done to it. I've NEVER been able to create a crown. Thank you for your kind comments for those who responded before I've clarified the source of the photo. You can download the original and play with it, from the link I've provided above.
checking in on 365 after a couple of months of being away - and this is the first photo I see on my home page. Taffy you never disappoint!! Gorgeous shot!

Hi All -- I just wanted to be sure you all know that this was not my photo. I didn't think that anyone would have thought that but realized that the RAW challenge is pretty new and you may not have been aware of it. So, just to clarify -- the editing is all mine, but the water crown was not mine -- I wish I could do one like this!! Thank you for your kind comments -- I hope you were referring to the editing (and totally understand if you want to take them back!). You can see the original if you click on the link. Thanks for viewing and commenting and my apologies for anything that I did that would have appeared to be claiming credit for the photo itself (eek, so embarrassing!!!).
That's fabulous processing Taffy! The crown itself is magnificent and like you I wish I could do one! I have tried many times but never been successful!
