Bonners Landing on the Move, Revisited by taffy

Bonners Landing on the Move, Revisited

My get pushed partner, @susale asked me to re-visit a photo from last year at this time, with an eye to what I would do differently (or I could do star trails, but we haven't had a clear enough night so far). So, I thought about what I've learned that I could apply to a scene from last year. I chose this one of Bonners Landing, the scene I see when I walk down to the beach in front of our house during the day. Last year, I used ICM as part of get pushed. Looking back, it's not a very good image! (You can view here, but really, it's nothing to look at: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-07-14). This year, I thought about the recent artist challenge and creating a triptych from three separate images. I decided to keep with the idea of Bonners Landing on the Move and capture the motion of the lake mid-day. I find this shot so much more satisfying than the earlier one. It's less gimmicky even though it uses a "technique," while it better captures the feel of the area. Susale -- I hope this fits what you had in mind! As soon as I get a good clear night that isn't really cold, I'm going to go for the star trails!
@susale Here's my response to your challenge. I hope it fits the idea you had in mind!

What a lovely triptych...the images so definitively lake water and not the ocean. The coloration is beautifully tranquil!

Oh, Taffy I am so jealous. You did want I wanted with our beaches, but time, weather and circumstances never aligned. Well done and now I am going to go sulk. LOL

@joansmor :-) So sad to make you sulk!! It was a 10 minute period of sun in an otherwise bleak day with our poor guests being housebound with us!

Love the color of the water and the motion you captured!

Those three images work well as a triptych Taffy. Well done.

Awesome picture.

I like how you have presented this triptych Taffy. The lake looks like it gets very deep on the horizon with that dark line. Looks like the sea to me!

Lovely triptych Taffy, I love the movement and colours of the water.

I like the line of sky at the top of each photo.

This works well as a triptych, with the two end panels being a subtle mirror of each other and a plain middle.

It looks fantastic, love the triptych. I had fun doing the couple I did and really want to do more especially in the Hilliard style.

Wonderful triptych, amazing scene

I love the colour of the water, what a great view.

Very clever triptych, Taffy. The perfectly aligned horizons, I would say, is what makes this work.

Oh yes, I think you did very well _this is really great! Love the idea that you have used the artistic challenge to here too; this is exactly what I thought when I gave you the challenge. Looking forward seeing the star trails.

I love the end result here
