I started my urban hike yesterday meeting my hiking buddy at the corner opposite the Picasso. While I was waiting, I decided on some lensbaby practice, making use of the blurring more than I usually do. I ended up liking this one because of the way the sculpture seems to be guarding over the couple. Coverted to b&w using silver efex, and cropped to straighten it, but otherwise is what I saw through the lens. Learned it's quite hard to do a vertical lensbaby and keep the lines straight!
I don't have a Lensbaby so not familiar with what it can or can't do. I do agree with you in that it looks like the Picasso is playing guardian. I do find the photo interesting just not sure wether or not I like it. But then I am probably a little old fashion.
@taffy Always so happy to see your work on my feed but massive apologies that I have had very little time to comment over the last few months. Today has been such a joy just browsing and catching up a bit. The talent on here is crazy!
@trishaclancy No worries -- 365 should be our pleasure and escape, not an obligation! Always good to see your posts and read your comments, but not to be concerned if you can't make 365 your highest priority!!
@rachelwithey I ended up going more low-key with this one. Still looking at opportunities for a high key, but don't think any of the ones I took yesterday work out. Today's another day to try!
