With this photo, I'm continuing with this week's challenge to create images within a vintage theme. This is the "old" (i.e., vintage) Union Station building -- the one that is actually used by most travelers and commuters is across the street. Tulips are in bloom all over the city. This shot was taken behind a beautiful tulip bed just north of the new Union Station building, across Canal Street from the original.
Union Station does look vintage, but the flowers look so vivid they almost don't look real. Thanks for connecting us to Daniel's image and to your previous one as well...
@danielwsc -- forgot to tag you on this one. I also took one of the stairway but decided yours already did such justice to it that it wasn't worth posting!
@kazlamont Thanks for letting me know Kazzy! I'm surprised -- I can never figure out how these are selected, as so many have pointed out. But it certainly does feel good!
@barbsmith Thanks Barb! @kazlamont THanks Kazzy -- it has helped to have a general focus this week, but right now I'm stumped, so we'll see what happens by tonite.
Thanks for the tag Taffy, and congrats on PP! Seems like you are a permanent fixture there! Great picture by the way, reminiscent of an 1920s railway poster.
@danielwsc I never thought of that, but think it does look like one of those posters. I can imagine it in a 1950s movie showing old fashioned posters in a train station scene!
Thanks all for your kind comments, for seeing the joy in the flowers, and noting the way the tulips framed the Union Station sign. Vintage has made me think of old and new. This seemed to capture that idea. More conventional ways of looking at vintage processing ahead!

Thank you so much for the kind comments!
