No, we really didn't have that many attempts.... Prompted by my get-pushed partner, Laura @la_photographic who suggested doing something with running water, but put together with my desire to entertain grandkids, the running water was used to fill water balloons. Gamely punctured over and over again by my grandson, his mom and I snapped away. Of the millions of shots we took (okay, not really millions but it felt like it), this was one of only two that I thought worth posting. I did end up liking this one, once I was able to boost the color a bit. Great fun, though -- I'd do it again -- but it's so much harder to do than it looks!
And, I know it's not actually a running water shot -- but I like it more than the one I did earlier today.
@la_photographic It's not actually running water, but your get-pushed challenge inspired me to do some things with water today. I do have a wonderful shot from this morning's rock garden that I'll post later this week or retake if I have time so it's taken on the day I post. And this one was great fun. So thanks for the push!
Great shot Taffy! These really are difficult to catch just that moment! Great fun when you have a bored child around! I had a go with my great nephew and he loved it and wants to try again. My success rate was very low! Fav!
I wonder what it is. You made it like crystals. Like those water drops. Not running water on the shot, but I imagine that there might be running water under your feet.
Thank you all for your kind comments -- especially those of you who have tried this as well and know how lucky I was with the timing. I learned that the settings part is easy, but the focus and the timing is the tricky end. I cannot believe how many balloons led to shots of water dripping off my grandson's hand! If only that were the image I was going for...But we definitely had fun and will try again. And we go wetter filling the balloons than popping them!

@mariyakey Thank Mariya -- I ended up posting the running water shot just now...these two were both about water, but SOOO different!
