365 Diet Begins Again -- :-(
1. Realize a week from today is the first night of my Tuesday class
2. Realize a week from tomorrow is my first night of my Wednesday class
3. Realize with horror I have not begun either syllabus (but did at least order the books and have taught both in the past)
4. Realize I cannot spend hours on photographing and 365 and somehow be ready for class and the start of the semester
5. Realize I still have to participate in cooking, cleaning, entertaining family so cannot hide out to just do what I want (i.e., 365)
6. Reaffirm commitment to take a photo a day but may not spend more than an hour processing, uploading, and commenting until the syllabi and ready to post and am caught up with other work-related things I've been putting off.
7. Hope my friends on 365 understand.
I took this photo yesterday morning -- the photo walk I did that caused me to miss seeing the family of bald eagles playing in front of our house for almost a half hour -- and processed today to bring out the color. This is an entry for get pushed this week, challenge from Laura to photograph running water. The site is a small rock garden at a home down the beach (you may remember some other scene's from what I've called "Peter's Garden"), taken in the morning light but when the waterfall was still in the shade. Also a treat for me that this week's theme is liquid as I do love water shots! Stopped down as far as I could with as low an ISO as my camera settings provide to get to the long exposure.
Chaotic future for those of us who love your captures and your comments... Well, what can we do?! Of course that we -or at least, I- understand. This fountain is very nice and your capture of the water is fantastic.
I believe this would fit the CSC going (I have not checked due date, though). The water is so soft and luscious. I ran into all of your realizations when summer started, and now that I'm back to work teaching, I see my ugly fate. A regular poster and a horrible commenter. Please know that I look at your photos daily with relish. The wonderful thing is 365 is an understanding community. You have done an incredible job this summer taking on a beautiful and exciting tour of your summer abode and setting and challenging yourself in so many ways as a photographer--it shows in the PP and TT. :)
@darylo Thanks Daryl -- for your understanding comment and also the lead on the CSC-31 theme. It does work for their dates. I'm gong to miss commenting so much, but I'm committed to at least viewing and posting. Hoping everyone will be as understanding as I've so enjoyed all the interaction, especially this summer.
Beautiful dreamy shot! Love the smooth water and tones. I know what you mean, I have really hard time to find time for this project during work week, so I understand and I think everyone will, we all have another things beside this project.
This is lovely, I tried a shot like this last week but it did not turn out - at all! You are inspiring me to keep trying. I will miss your comments, but am looking forward to when you have some free time and can make an appearance. :-)
I love how you've captured the water. I've so enjoyed your summer of photos. It seems like you've had weeks and weeks to enjoy the summer. Enjoy your last few days and get ready to be inspired by your by your new students. Thankfully I don't have to worry about returning to school any more!
Too bad that real life imposes these dietary restrictions on us, eh? Obviously, your job and family come first. We'll just have to go on a "Taffy diet"! ;-)
Glad that you and your camera were able to spend the summer in such a beautiful setting ... and thanks for sharing your Beaver Island images with us. Wishing you a smooth transition back to Chicago and the teaching world. Be kind to yourself and just do what you can!
@wendyhgill Thanks so much Wendy -- I appreciate your advice and that you enjoyed the Beaver Island photos this summer. I've really enjoyed capturing the island for 365 friends!
hey Taffy - whatever you have the time to share with us is fabulous - I am a bit preoccupied myself at the moment :) I am posting at least one a day because Paul would want me too :)
I do love the softness of the water flow in this photo. Great capture. Have a great time back at school our lives do change in seasons and I'm sure most of us will be joining you on what you call the 365 diet.
Beautiful and fav! Good luck with your 365 diet, lol... I have had to choose work and family over 365, so I have decided I am going to post and comment only when I can, and not stress about it! Hope your preparations go well!
Fabulous image Taffy I love the silkiness of the water!! Fav!!
Your photos of Beaver Island this summer have been wonderful. Make the most of your last few days. I can understand why you will have to cut back on commenting as it really does take a lot of time and is such fun!! We will miss your input but fully understand you will have other priorities. Take care and enjoy going back to School!!

Thanks for your kindness and understanding! I find I can't stop commenting and viewing, but at least I can stop myself from doing it throughout the day for now. And I look forward to late evening to upload and look at pictures as a calm way to end the day.
