Posting a change of pace -- from our photo walk / meetup (with @danielwsc and @anwan ) at the Brookfield Zoo on Sunday. NY is expecting 7 - 12 inches of snow, thousands of flights were cancelled so now Jim and Bill can't get in. Valentine's Day weekend now is the guys in Chicago and Junko/me here in NY. So, probably polar bears are happy. People, not so much.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder! Sorry, the guys can't make it to New York, but I know you and Junko will make the most of your time there. This is a great shot of the polar bear.... I bet he is loving this weather! The ones here always look so miserable...
We are definitely having polar bear weather! Brookfield Zoo? I don't think I've heard of that- do you mean the Bronx Zoo? oh well, no matter what it's a great shot!!
@olivetreeann Brookfield is in a western suburb of Chicago. It's our main zoo -- Lincoln Park Zoo is in the city and much smaller, though reasonable for the city type of zoo. The other one has more openness to it and I feel less guilty there for the animals.
