Alone

I thought the concert last night started at 7:30. It started at 8:00 so we were there very early. I took a few shots of the empty main floor hoping one would work for Abstract April. But I liked the lone reader in this one. Sort of a very loose street photography shot perhaps -- candid of a reader?? A color version, more abstract, is in my main album.
Thanks for your comments on the shot of Mavis Staples yesterday. It was so special to see her and I'm glad some of you were able to enjoy the clip of her song.
Enjoy your week - I'll post and comment as I can sneak in here and there.
Great in mono as well... suit to set subject for our camera club over the next few month... "From above" and "repeat pattern"..

I really like this shot in Mono. Checked it out in color but this is my favorite of the two.

Great processing...somewhat in the style of Mara's (@mara19500) work, wouldn't you say? The image is particularly interesting because of the high contrast and the extreme positioning of the lone reader. Great stuff!

The mono is quite different but I love the red

This is great because of the extra interest point of the person.

Nice use of negative space emphasising the solitary figure.

Love the pov! I really like the lone figure, reading. This is great in B&W.

I like the way the paper shows up in the darkest part of the photo. This has a classic look in B&W.
