I'm falling behind but loving that we have a macro challenge as I'm thinking about it even when not posting. I had this shot in mind for form and actually took three versions. Jim chose this one as his favorite so that's why I posted. In this one I was trying to work with rim lighting using natural light while taking this.

You have illustrated a point Gibson was making in his book using light to help give the illusion of 3D on a 2D plane. It works really well here- especially since the artwork is a similar color to the background (at least in black and white it reads that way).
