I received my macro filters today. The only lens that they fit on (should have checked that - duh!) was my 70-300. But - I got this shot with that lens. The filters actually make this lens more versatile. I always want to have my long lens with me, but learned that when out walking if I want to take a close up, I just can't get close with 70mm. Well, now I can! These will take a little getting used to but I'm excited to try.
Great shot - I can see lots of play time ahead. Hadn't thought about going the filter route. That could be really valuable. Will be watching your upcoming shots for pointers.
If you don't watch out, you are going to end up a flower macro specialist! This is gorgeous. The crop decision is great! Love the parts that curl like curling ribbon and the stalk like parts! fav
