April, that was quite an interesting blog post that you pointed me to. I wasn't about to spray my food with Scotch Guard and glue it together with Poly-Grip, though. :-) When I photograph food, I like to eat it when I'm done. @aecasey
@tdaug80 I know! It was admittedly nice looking, but what a waste. There's no way I'd go to the trouble to make those pancakes and then do that to them.
I did dark food photography once and I used cherries in a dark blue bowl. Then I ate them!
Hi, I am feeling so stupid, but you have challenged me to the get pushed this week to photograph a sports fixture, and I have no idea where or how I post my image!! I have looked and looked but cant find anywhere that tells me what to do. I am so sorry!!
@zeezee Don't worry. You will get used to how we communicate on this site. When I first started, I was confused about how to send someone a message. You've got that one figured out, you just comment on one of their photos.
Now, to enter your photo into the get-pushed competition, you just add get-pushed-384 in box for tags when you post your photo. If you forget, you can edit your post and add the tag afterwards.
That is the way you enter any competition or theme. There will be a tag mentioned in the call for entries.
One weird idiosyncrasy about get pushed is if you want me to notice your entry, you need to leave my handle @tdaug80 in a comment with your photo. If you put it in the description, it doesn't show up in my notifications.
Don't be shy about asking questions. This is a very supportive community.
