@mirroroflife I've tried water droplet photography in the past with better results. I've got the droplet part down, but getting a good subject inside the drops is more of a challenge.
@mirroroflife I have a glass pane propped up a few inches (or centimeters if you prefer) above the subject--the plastic fish in this case. I put a few drops of water on the glass, and then manually focus on the water droplets. Lighting can be a challenge.
If you have some Rain-X or similar glass treatment, it helps to make the water droplets bead up.
