Lotus Blooming by teiko

Lotus Blooming

This is Dharma Rain Zen Center's new address - 14 acres of reclaimed landfill in Portland. It will have residences, a formal garden, a public bike/walking path through the property, an orchard, a community garden, a meditation hall, Dharma garden (Sunday school) and lots more. Property values have already gone up in the neighborhood!
The center sounds like a wonderful place to visit and relax

@cathieg Its true! There is a lot of buy-in from the neighbors, too. Neighbors and kids from Madison HS and Jason Lee Elementary come out and help with brush clearing, blackberries, planting and all the projects. The land was blessed and encouraged by a Native American elder, so the project also involves healing this land. Its lovely! For now we are holding services at a neighboring elementary school cafeteria.
