Sulphur Crested Cockatoo......on a evening joy flight...
effectionately known as a "Cocky"...these large birds can eat your house...then come back for the shed....a lucky shot here as the birds around here fly pretty quick...
@tahoemb@eyesmile@frankhymus ....thank you....i filled the bird feeder and just waited for them to arrive and they never fail to put on a show.....just have to hope for a good shot as they are so fast and the camera has trouble focusing ....that is "i" have trouble focusing..lol
We have White Cockys come down every day for a feed in our suburban garden and I have to say they have been extremely well behaved. When they started coming down I said to our kids that it was all going to end in tears but they have not so much as even nibbled anything - yet. I have a heap of pics of them on the ground, in the tree, feeding etc but no decent ones of them in flight. You have laid down the gauntlet. Good pic
Lovely shot - we have a cockatoo called Bas and he's either a triton or umbrella cockatoo. We are not sure which but he's lovely although can be destructive if you don't keep an eye on him. He's been out for a play and now he's just gone to bed!
