"Stanley-Bailey No.4 Smoothing Plane"..

my grandfather passed on to me his Stanley smoothing plane many many years ago and it is still used to this day....raises a few eye brows with younger folk when it's in action...it has helped me build furniture for my children and grandchildren ..and even helped me build the house i live in...

Brilliant photo choice ! I love old tools, not referring to ppl lol but tools used by loved ones & passed down to be valued not only for their use but also the memories they evoke. I also agree, the wood curls are a lovely touch & soften this picture.
