"The Regatta"...

Wangaratta scroll saw woodworking club had a display and workshop today at the Wangaratta footy ground...this interesting exhibit caught my eye as it was all scroll sawn out of colourfull acrylic instead of wood and measuring about 3 ft across was quite a nice work of art....the regatta
The photo is neat, I really like the juxtaposition of transparent and solid.

This is very cleverly made and you have photographed it really nicely. It's a cool exhibit - but would be a pain to have to keep dust free!

The translucent layers make the sailboats look like they are in motion. Now I'm going to try my scroll-saw on acrylic--do you need a specific blade?
