@kareenking ...hi Kareen...I look through the viewfinder to take shots and this flower was pretty small about 4 inches across and I was concentrating on getting the shot in focus...and didn't see the bug until later....surprise surprise...cheers

This is sooooo amazingly cool! The orange background and the angle viewing up. Is that really a dragonfly? Something about it seems not right to be a dragonfly. Seems delicate and leg shape like a crane fly.whatever it is this is a great pic! Fav

@espyetta ...hi MaryBeth yes i looked at the link and it looks like the crane fly ...it was about an inch and a half wide i guess and looks like only one set of wings too....good detective work and a gold star from me....cheers john
This came up on my "suggestions" page, and I, too, thought I was going to be seeing a plane. Lovely accident.... I had a similar one in my shot from last night where Orion appeared in the night sky of a long exposure.
