This weekend I participated in the Casey Relay For Life event held at Akoonah Park in Berwick.This event raises funds for cancer research and support groups. There were 4300 registered walkers who walk for 24 hours straight as a relay team. These are the bags, holding a candle for each person you are walking laps for. Some are deceased and some are still fighting hard. It is an emotional time for some and touching to witness this level of support.
