Baby Crested Pigeon by terryliv

Baby Crested Pigeon

Our first encounter with one of this season's baby Crested Pigeons (the one on the left).

It is so funny to watch the baby chasing the parent bird around the lawn begging for food. It is all done at an extremely fast walk and is like watching an episode of Benny Hill. (Just need the background music).

When eventually the adult stops, it grabs the babies beak (or maybe it's the other way around) and somehow the transfer of food happens. Not like other birds at all.
Wow! Perfect timing. Such a good shot.

I love the storytelling in this scene. They are cute together and could be engaged in any kind of conversation plus the eating.

Ha ha I thought the same when I saw this photo. We often see the crested pigeons chasing each other and automatically think of the Benny Hill sketch.
