Day 2 - A Sea of Sorghum by terryliv

Day 2 - A Sea of Sorghum

Sorghum appears to be the main grain crop of the Central Highlands.

I nearly got run over by a road train taking this shot on the 360 km run between Clermont and Charters Towers with nothing in between except the worst roadhouse ever at Ballyando Crossing.
An endless crop that goes on for miles, nicely captured Terry:)

So I’m going to go out on a limb and say that you didn’t run 360 km, rather, you drove. Great capture of this beautiful field, thankful you lived to tell the story. 😊

Did you not see the road train coming? Great image - never heard of this crop before.

I've never seen sorghum growing, the colours are lovely.

Great bit of colour to see on your road trip. I'm a bit worried about your hearing and sight if you nearly got hit by a road-train!!! Better book in your tests when you return :)

They grow that here in the Southern US as well, but in much smaller fields.
