. . .for this month.
When I went up to Mt Cootha on Tuesday night, this is the sort of shot I was hoping to get. For two nights I had the angles wrong but tonight I finally got pretty close to the moon coming up behind the city.
According to the Ephemeris website, the moon is still at 92.3%full so I am bit lucky that it is still appearing quite large. I’ll quit after tonight since even though tomorrow it will be almost directly behind the city, it will only be at 84%. And besides it doesn’t rise until 9:04pm by which time I will have had a couple of beers and the zzzz’s will be starting to kick in. I’m an old man!!!
Brisbane 365ers may be as surprised as I was to see the moon's reflections on Moreton Bay. The light trail is of course a plane coming in to land at Eagle Farm Airport.
