Very busy today and had only managed to grab a pic of a crappy flower. Then tonight while I was having "dinner". I noticed something out in the yard. Went outside and it was a Tawny Frogmouth - he had flown down and grabbed something off the lawn.
Quickly grabbed the camera and threw some magpie meat out so I could get a pic of him on the ground. Impossible with a flash. He would fly down, grab the meat and fly back and only be on the ground for less than a second. So I had to make do with him sitting on his perch. He got a good feed though and I was stoked with the pics.
My apologies but I am going to be flat chat for the next few days and may not have time for many comments. But I'll still be watching
What a capture! He's got quite the expression there. I'd think he could at least smile for the camera in appreciation for the dinner you served up for him.
