Gecko in the Grass by terryliv

Gecko in the Grass

I don't know if everyone knows what Blue Couch grass is like but if you don't, it is a grass used for lawns in the warmer parts of Australia and it has a fairly small leaf. This Gecko is in some Blue Couch which gives you an idea of how small he is.

Great shot. They can be tiny little things. We had a fairly big one in my bedroom last week. Unfortunately my wife released it into the garden before I got home. So I didn't get a shot of it :(

I love how their eye patterns are a continuation of their overall color scheme. Good job spotting this little thing. Imagine it's not nearly as startling to come across one of these compared to those giant spiders.

You find the neatest little guys - terrific detail and wonderful close-up. He would certainly camouflage well in shrubs.

How did you manage to spot this little guy? Looking for a lost golf ball, I suppose. Great catch! I love the detail.

Great shot! Are you feeding this one too? Or is it eating all your mosquitoes?

Does this one also get fed roast lamb?? I'm just thinking how camouflaged he would be on tree bark with his markings
