This Rainbow Lorikeet hung from the palm frond at head height for ages. Long enough for me to initially see him, go back inside and find the camera, come back outside and take a dozen or so shots at which point I lost interest.
While I was busy taking the photos, another one was sitting on my head screeching away, telling me the best POV, settings etc. They are driving us nuts at present.
I love capturing pictures of the birds hanging upside down. Mine are usually caught just before the fly down to the feeder. Probably yours is about to do the same thing.
Wow what fabulous colours!! Such a beautiful bird and a great capture!! I am still laughing at the vision I now have of you with the other bird on your head!! Now that would have been a great shot!! Huge Fav!!
@lyndemc Ha Ha ha You thought I had forgotten didn't you. Rhoda and I drove past the gardens this morning in the pouring rain and were debating whether I should take some pics today or wait until the rain stops.
Just for you, I'll go and get some shots tomorrow - come hail, rain or shine. @888rachel FYI Rachel
(How's the Botanical Gardens progress coming along?)
