Sunset over The Gulf

Day 15 - Karumba, Gulf Country, NWQ

Me and my mate, Jack the Jabiru watching the sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria at Karumba. Why my mate? Stay tuned.
While we were simply driving around Queensland, if we had to nominate a destination, it would have been Karumba. By this time, we had covered 4,200kms.

Wow, what a sight. I would never have expected to find a jabiru in salt water and standing around to be photographed. I've tried to capture these lonesome birds on our farm and they are gone before I have the camera focussed.
