Played golf today and the golf course (Oxley) is very near to Archerfield, one of the areas hardest hit by last Thursday's storm. Archerfield airfield was where the TV reports showed all of the light planes that had been flipped over.
We lost about 30-40 trees completely while dozens of others lost limbs. It was quite a mess.
I just noticed that I doubled up on one of the shots. Buggar
@richardhoeg Tornados are quite rare - especially like you guys get. However, severe thunderstorms are a common occurrence across most of costal Australia. November is our main thunderstorm month here in Brissy and while we only had two (very low) last month, this one was a good one. Of course they are always bad when you get a direct hit.
You only have to look at the age of these trees to realise this one was stronger than normal.
