Bird Strike by terryliv

Bird Strike

A butcher bird attempting to chase the Kookaburra out of its territory ie our back yard yesterday. You can see his two feet on the Kookaburras back and no doubt, its beak would have been used also to give the Kookaburra a whack.
Its a pity this is not a better photo but I wasn't set up for high speed action shots when this happened.
I meant to say that the Kookaburra returned for a feed this afternoon and he was very hungry We are pretty certain he is blind in one eye.

It sure is a tough life for a kooka here - ours regularly get quite a donging from the butchers & noisys.
