Coober Pedy Cemetery

Another insight into the multi cultural nature of Coober Pedy can be found at the cemetery. This is just a very small sample of the different nationalities represented in the cemetery.
The top right headstone has a wonderful story. Apparently Karl Bratz (German?) had bought a keg and left instructions that when he died, all of his friends (which had probably increased in number by this time) were to drink the keg and then use it as his headstone. How cool is that?
Great collection and yes the top right one is fascinating :)

Great collage and interesting. Love the chairs set beside the graves as well as the idea of a keg 'headstone'.
