This strange photo shows a ground breaking energy project happening near Warwick (which is about 60km from Stanthorpe) It shows a 154ha property owned by The University of Queensland. It is the site of a $125,000,000 project to install solar panels to cover approx 30% of the site. This will then generate enough power to enable UQ to be 100% energy renewable by 2020.
Unfortunately, this site is also situated on prime agricultural land. It is hopefully envisaged that sheep may be able to be integrated into the running of the solar farm.

Like this shot, and have no problems with it as long the powers that be use land that can’t be used for better things. We have a lot of land strips near main highways those ideal for this kind of projects...
