This used to be such a popular thing over here, hundreds of cars driving around with a plastic red nose on the front and kids wandering around wearing a red plastic nose but I haven't seen it so much over the last few years

Comic Relief is a charity set up by comediens and the BBC 33 years ago for aid in UK and Africa. The symbol is the red nose of a clown and every other year Red Nose Day is held as a telethon which takes over Friday viewing from 7.00pm until midnightish.
A different nose and Tee=shirt design is launched in early February leading up to RND in March.

This is so delightful....and I remember red nose day starting from the movie Patch Adams, where Robin Williams played a doctor who was as much about bring joy to young patients as bringing the medical necessities.
