BTW, if anyone can give me advice on how to make the shadow more obvious without brightening the rest of the background, I'd really appreciate it...beyond my current skill level either in camera or post.
Love your composition. I wonder if shadow not showing up because you have a black background?? The only thing I'd suggest is darken shadow in post with burning or exposure . I gave it a go in SnapSeed on my phone and it worked a bit
@granagringa This is a fantastic photo. I love the light on the bracelet especially with the dark background. I’m not sure it would work but if you increased the contrast it might make a difference.
Love the way you captured the light on the bracelet. I would use the Selective Adjust in Snapseed (a free app) to select the shadow. Then I would have said reduce the brightness, but playing with the slider surprisingly (to me), it worked better to increase the brightness. https://365project.org/shutterbug49/52wc/2021-08-16

(at least in my case!)
