This cannon was level with me as I stood in front. Very eerie feeling.
I wonder how many times it was used in anger? Great shot.

@josiegilbert Not sure, Josie. As I commented in my other perspective, it was a solemn feeling to see rows of these lined up against each other, knowing the lives that they took. It seems that the anger continues...

To answer your question about yesterday’s photo is the wall is an old boundary wall that goes on for quite a few meters along the moor. These sort of walls can date back as much as 500 years and the newer ones as much as 200 years, they are mostly kept in very good repair with different styles of building. They are so interesting when you see the way they are built each wall has a different style depending on who built it, rather like a signature
