Life here... by thewatersphotos

Life here...

I am working from home now, doing tele therapy for my speech therapy patients. It is working well. I work mostly with young children, often under 3 years of age. Some of what I do is parent coaching but I also do direct therapy with children. Their parents are close by. My kids have been very responsive and I think it is being successful!
That being said, I am at home, so photography is limited to what I find within walking distance. We are blessed to live on 40 acres of property. I have cut "walking paths" through the field for my wife and I to walk! There is still a lot to photograph, but I will have to be creative...which is kind of the idea of this site, to expand us and for us to grow. So for the next few weeks I'll share "life here". I hope you enjoy seeing more of our everyday life and things here in Alabama, USA.
This is how I felt when I retired 6 years ago. The realm of my daily journeys shrunk. :-\ Glad you have a "remote-able" job!

Happy to hear you can still work well with your patients. And looking forward to seeing more pictures - with spring/summer on it's way there should be enough to take pictures of!

Gorgeous Gary. I really like the low key look. The light is perfect.

Glad that your job continues in novel ways. My friend is a Christian Counselor and having to find her way as well. The telephone is working for her so far.

@randystreat Thank you Kathy. I liked the low light as well.
Tell your friend that if she would benefit from “seeing” her clients she could look into WebEx.com or zoom. Both should be Compliant for patient confidentiality.

What a wonderful idea to be able to work remotely with the children in speech therapy. That's the area I'm most worrying with my 3 year old great grandson who lives with me. Great idea to cut those walking paths - you might be surprised a what you see up close ad personal:)

Thank you! Yes it is quite a joy to work with young children. Actually, we have already seen a few creatures crossing our path.

@bubblequeen Thank you so much.

Fascinating that you can work remotely still as a speech therapist. I have a friend here with the same job and her clinics have been shut down and she has just been redeployed by the NHS to the respiratory and end of life care wards in the same hospital where her office was. "Eek" was her response to that!
