At least for a while. I met the new owner and the intent is to bring it back to life as an art studio. It is in a rural setting, close to the road and surrounded by newly plowed field with grass planted.
The back story is that it is just a mile from our home. We actually met the original owner when we moved to this area and ask about "moving" the house to our property and renovating it. It had set empty for several years and his response was, "Oh no! What would the neighbors think if I sold you this old house!". So it sat empty for years, with kudzu beginning to grow on it. The chimney (it "was" behind the tree on the left) has toppled out leaving a huge hole for animals to infest the house. Still there are some cool features to this house, which I'll show in upcoming photos.
I am always provoked by these buildings that have been abandoned. The stories they might tell, if they could! And why did they fall into complete disuse and disrepair?
