Cosmos, or at least "soon to be"...

These plants were 16 inches tall but no blooms yet. They are Cosmos and should have flat, colorful blooms soon.

Ooh lovely, I do enjoy cosmos in Summer. I grew chocolate cosmos once. The blooms were dark brown and smelled of chocolate but the ants agreed and overwhelmed the plant sadly!
