My first 35mm film camera...

This is my first 35mm film camera. My uncle gave it to me along with other lenses and flash. I'm not sure why I've kept it.
My first DSL was an Olympus OM 10 that I bought from a coworker. I never really took the time to figure out how to use it on any other setting than automatic.

Nice. I just sold an old Minolta that we’d had for decades.

Well it’s important to you…I think it’s fantastic you have still got this camera.

Sweet. Maybe try it out! Could be fun. Definitely don’t get rid of it

I think you kept it because one day you would need a interesting subject with a story for a 365 shot.

Oh, that is a keeper! You should buy a roll of film and have some fun with it. I have an old Minolta XTsi that I sometimes use and a very old Canon AE1 that is not actually working but I plan to get it fixed. Reliving the old days can be fun. The anticipation after you have taken a shot and you have to wait several days to see whether you nailed it. It definitely makes you think longer and harder before tripping the shutter.

@randystreat I "tried" some manual settings, but the cost of film and processing turned me back to "auto"!

@danette Yes, I've considered selling this one. The shutter is stuck and I'm not sure I want to waste film trying to relearn to use it.

@happypat I'm glad I kept if for the photos, but the shutter is stuck so it may go on sale.

@rwarner Do you really think so?? I didn't mention that the shutter is stuck so that would mean a repair before it is functional. I'm not sure I'm up for the "re-learning curve".

@cwbill I think you are exactly right, Bill!!

@cdcook48 Thanks for the comments, Chris! You may have convinced me to give it a try.
