Lambing... by thewatersphotos

Lambing...

On this farm they have about 250 ewes and 35 rams. About two months ago the rams were put in the fields with the ewes...now the ewes are beginning to produce lambs. The rams have been moved away to a separate pasture. The ewes are held in a pasture close to the barn. Most of the lambs are born in the early morning.
Above Zachary has gone to move the lamb and ewe inside the barn. The lamb and mother will go in a small stall to bond for a few days before moving to a large pen inside the barn along with the other ewes and lambs.
Love this story.

The lambs are so cute! I love it when they run around the field. They hop and jump. This one, of course, is not ready for that action.

I checked out where you live Gary & I can see you will still be warm in November to lamb sheep. Hope all goes well with lambing.

@randystreat Thanks, Kathy! The lambs were running and jumping in the barn, but it was hard to capture with a still photograph.
