When the lambs are found in the field, they have to be moved to the barn. Zachary picks up the lamb, lets mom smell it and then leads the ewe to the barn. As I watched one of the ewes would not follow, so the lamb was left in the field with her (they were brought in to the barn later that day). Occasionally a ewe will reject her lamb, requiring the lamb be bottle fed...or given as a "foster" lamb to a ewe who lost her lamb (yes, not all lambs survive birth).
Such wonderful care the little ones are given. A marvelous look at farm life.

@k9photo Most are Kate and they can become very vocal! Unfortunately there are a few that neglect their young requiring the farmers to provide assistance.
