They are EVERYWHERE!!! by thewatersphotos

They are EVERYWHERE!!!

These spiders are all around our yard. They build their webs in the most unlikely places...places where we walk. This one was in my path as I drove the lawn tractor!
He will live to build again! :- )
Does anyone know what kind this might be?
A wonderful close up

Sure is an interesting looking insect. I have no idea what it is.

They look like very alien spiders to me……I don’t mind spiders but only ones I’m familiar with.

Great shot of an interesting looking creature!

My citizen science app suggests a Spinybacked Orbweaver for this little guy and a Whirlabout for your recent Skipper butterfly (I didn't post them, of course, just used a screenshot for a suggested ID and then deleted without sharing).

It's so interesting to see the wildlife from other places! Our Orbweavers seem quite plain by comparison!

Great photo of this spider! Like Jessica said it looks a lot like the Spiny orb weaver we have in Texas: https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/galveston/beneficials/beneficial-23_spiny_orb_weaver_spider.htm
