Patience

Not the best photograph but I didn't want to disturb her and I haven't got a long lens. Mrs Blackbird has been sitting on three eggs for the last two weeks. She is so patient. Her husband comes and takes over for half an hour every evening then vanishes again about his own affairs. They are late to be nesting and are in a very vulnerable position. She seems unconcerned by the close proximity of people and dogs.
Sweet close up capture.

A lovely shot Joyce , I had a blackbird's nest earlier on this summer in the aucuba bush all have fledged the nest by now , but today I saw the blackbird with a mouthful of worms going somewhere to feed some young I assume !
