Venus at Sunrise by timerskine

Venus at Sunrise

The Missus and I went out very, very early to try to see Comet NEOWISE. Sadly, the sun rises very, very, very early in July so we couldn't see it. We did, however, get to see this glorious sunrise with Venus over the Appomattox River (the same spot where I got this one: https://365project.org/timerskine/365/2020-06-29).
My husband has also been going out at daybreak the past two days to see the comet. At least you got Venus!

@annepann I hope he has luck. We have rain moving in over night. Silver lining: we get to sleep in tomorrow.

Oh well done for climbing out of bed in an effort for the Comet! I've yet to see a photo! This shot has a feel of quiet and lovely colours developing. Hope you had a good breakfast after this! fav

Jim, that's a great shot. We had Venus every morning here until a couple of months ago. Just recently its been raining during most of the day and the skies are overcast all night. We're hoping to see the forthcoming Perseids meteor shower from the middle of July.

Stunning capture. Worth the early rise. We are going to wait for a bit to try and see it.
