I went out to the Dutch Gap Conservation Area today to wander around, looking for a picture for today. I was spoiled for choice.
I was walking down to the imaginatively named Pond Dock #2 when this Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) decided it didn't like my presence and took off. I was able to get off a long series of shots, virtually all of which were just blurs. But my tracking held true just long enough for this one.
