The Missus and I were driving through the Back Bay area of Virginia Beach on an unusually warm January afternoon when she spotted this Great Blue Heron on a stump in the water, perfectly backlit by the setting sun.
It wasn't until I processed the shots that I saw the backlit flies.
@jon_lip Well, we have 4% of the world's population and 20% of the world's COVID deaths, but at least we have our freedom! (Or freedumb, in many cases.) The Missus and I are extremely cautious about what we do, where we go and when we go there. Our grocery trips are always first thing in the morning, as are any other things we need to do that involves going into public spaces (we will occasionally do just-before-closing trips, if necessary). Our daily routine involves long walks and we try to get to different parks so that we're outdoors where there's less corona concern and more photo ops.
