The Great War hangar at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, where the Missus and I are volunteers, was built based on the patterns of British aircraft hangars of WWI. The two main differences are that our hangar has a concrete floor (the originals would be dirt or gravel) and to meet local building code it has to withstand a category 4 hurricane (we are a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean).
The day was clear and bright. The period-style light over the hangar entrance was casting a beautiful shadow on the wooden walls.
