I've stated previously that our backyard is an absolute playground for non-grass vegetation.
I was picking up pine cones prior to mowing when I saw this fine example. Our wild strawberries are very small (this one is about 4-5mm across and is big for our yard) and don't have a noticeable taste. But they do attract berry-eating birds, especially American robins, to our home.
