Triple Whammy by timerskine

Triple Whammy

Huge winter storm today. Over 3 inches / 7.5 cm of rain between midnight and mid-afternoon, winds were 35 mph / 50 kmh sustained with 50 mph / 80 kmh gusts. In the face of all this, the Missus and I hopped in my truck and set out exploring as this is the first winter storm we've had in a coastal area.

The storm was a nor-easter that was causing thunderstorms at high tide...triple whammy on the beach at Sandbridge.

At a normal high tide, the beach seen here is four or five times as large. These are the biggest waves we've seen since we moved here in early July. It was so dark at 9am that I had to crank my ISO up to 2500 to get a decent exposure.
