Sandbridge beach is the northernmost point of the Outer Banks. It is a 15 minute drive from our home. So why do we drive 2.5 hours to North Carolina and rent a house for a week on the beach? In a word: horses. Specifically, the wild horses of Corolla.
This is the harem's dominant mare. She was the easiest to get a good picture of because of her lighter coloring. The others were dark brown and I was on the wrong side to get good light. I needed a boat for that and didn't have enough time to go and rent one ;-)
